Motivational Monday or is It?

Mondays Uggh! How we hate dragging ourselves out of bed to go to work, whether your a kid going to school or a person going to work, Mondays are never exciting and on a day like today in the city if NYC, its not the highlight of the week. This Monday was a slow start for me and due to the rain my body does not like getting up and is sore due to my Sickle Cell. Either way I made my way on the bus and train dragged my body with my heavy book bag filled with work and my laptop to the Impact Hub my co-working community space, where I am a Community Resident Host, my tasks here are to run the front desk from 8:30am to 1:30pm ,but lately I have late 3xs due to the fact of the stress load of work and events from the previous weeks. It doesn't help that I am an insomniac either. My step brother didn't sleep all night which disturbs me because We are the same age and he gets more aggy than I do.

Anyway I finally make my way into the Impact Hub and my community manager points out I been late 3x. Now being that I have a sarcastic mouth I held in my aggravation but then realized it was my fault I did roll around in the bed this morning and didn't really try to force myself. I kinda just let my sickle cell take over, so I held back because she was right and I was wrong even though my medical condition fights with me and makes me angry. I like being front desk on Mondays though because we have Motivational Monday.

Motivational Monday is a workshop on Monday , where we talk about new and fresh innovative ideas which helps us get innovative for the week. Today's workshop was Uncovering Your Superpowers. I like motivating people because I lack it due to many things. The Community manager Roo stated I am good at reading people and getting people excited to do things. I also learned that it starts with a mission and why, we do what we do and then comes our superpowers. This Workshop was led by my favorite person and my personal business advice coach Greg Iorio. Greg is an amazing person and has so much experience. He has been to so many places like South Africa especially and showed my daughter Jae and I picks of the African sites and animals. He asked us in 30 seconds what will we try and do this week and I said which Greg and I talk about all the time is prioritizing what is important and what can be put to later on in the week.

I really wish there was more of these types of days like this because my week started shitty until Greg's Motivational Monday and when it rains it pours and its like bad luck for good ohh Blizzey. Personal issues arose today during my motivational workshop and for the first time I said my peace and now I'm just like whatever its not a priority. I have this new magazine and Jae and Christmas and my family will be scattered all over this year so I'm not very Christmas this year. I feel more like the Grinch.

How I feel when Jae ask about when Im getting the tree

How I feel when Jae ask about getting the tree looks alot like this.

All and all this Monday was not as bad as it seemed especially after the workshop. I fully enjoyed hearing people and there thoughts and ideas and it makes me feel I'm not the only one in the world.

Free free to join us every Monday Starting at 10am at the Impact Hub 394 Broadway
