Inconspicuous Games -Hide and Go Seek in the Library ?????
There are so many things you can do with your kids but Today I played the most fascinating Games called Inconspicuous Games and this version of the game was Hide and Go Seek in the New York Public Library on 42nd Street and Bryant Park. Since I am a Community Resident for the Impact Hub , the director and his wife Molly play certain games like this in various place so this one was Hide and go Seek in the Library. Now the concept is called Inconspicuous meaning you need to hide in plain sight. You can't make it obvious you are playing a game. You must blend in with the crowd and remain silence because there is no sound in the library.
I played with my daughter and her best friend as well and to be honest they had an awesome time and so much fun playing with the adults and hiding and seeking people. It was finally something fun and innovative to due during the cold rush that has come in this month. Finally a game where kids can still have old-fashioned fun but in a new way. I am so excited this week to do my urban parents and urban kids week. These interviews will be a look inside kids and what this generation finds innovative these days. From kickball, to cd player, to beepers, to cell phone, tablets, and now virtual reality, the way kids have fun has changed over the years and grasping a child's or teenagers attention has never been harder now due to technology. Children truly have no clue of old fashioned fun anymore To my daughter going outside and playing is taboo especially if its not in the summer and she cant run the streets with her friends. These types of games I learned can be played in various places but in NYC is hosted by Sam and Molly on Eventbrite called Inconspicuous Games.
Namaste!
